The carrier is at: [link] Good polygon count but the texture not really good enough close to. I think what makes the carrier fun is that there are many suitable aircraft available. The F4 Phantom is available free at Content Paradise. The Skyhawk and Tomcat are from Cornucopia/Vue. I almost made the mistake of mixing an F-18 with the Skyhawk. Although both carrier aircraft I think they are of different time periods.
All of my low poly aircraft are free from [link] but you have to load them manually unless you know how to make poser props. They are available in multiple formats and most look really good. All of my recent aircraft images were done with these models. Thanks for the link I'll keep my eye on Rendo I have a gallery there but never saw that carrier before.
The carrier only came out (at Renderosity) last month. Thanks for the link. Like you I am mainly a Daz Studio/Poser man and the free site is 3ds/Obj. Presumably you can import the obj file but then have to load the textures individually? The 3 Bazze free aircraft at Content Paradise are Tomcat, Hellcat and Me109. These are good quality models and definiely worth having. [link] [link] [link]
The story continues. I visited the free obj/.3ds site and found the texture import into Daz Studio was disappointing. Now I have downloaded the free 30 day trial version of 3ds max. I'm hoping to be able convert the 3ds files into another more useable form that Poser or Daz Studio can read with the textures. Will probably fail but the actual 3ds max software costs thousands, well beyond my hobby budget.
Now I've got the hang of thing its working OK. I'm going to look on net for free 3ds files because the free 30 day trial can convert them to objs. Thanks for that site.
